Slaughter & the Dogs – “Cranked Up Really High” DVD Not “vintage” material, but rather their latest reunion at one of the Holidays in the Sun. They’re not 20-year-olds anymore, but they manage to be fairly energetic. A couple of the songs range from average-to-outright-wretched, but all is forgotten once they blast into “Cranked Up Really High” and “Where Have All the Bootboys Gone?” You also get a backstage chat with humbled frontman Wayne Barratt (who seem ill-prepared for the extent of the audience’s adoration) which is that rarity or rarities, interview segments that you’ll actually watch more than once.
