Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band - “Live In Barcelona” 2XDVD This double disc DVD is the only release of a complete Springsteen concert I know of, with the possible exception of an HBO telecast. There must be some great ones in the vault, and I suspect most fans would prefer getting treated to a 70s show as opposed to “The Rising” tour. The 24 song set list covers ground reasonably well, although with Bruce’s enormous body of work there are limits to what ground can be covered in one show. The filming is fairly straight forward and free of cinematic gimmicks. As for the sound, it’s good, but as is generally the case with live performance DVDs the crowd is mixed higher than it needs to be, and there is a lack of presense in the vocals, but hey, it is a live performance, and you get to see Bruce and company prove it all night.
