Blasters - "Going Home" DVD This 2003 Santa Ana show gives the Blasters a chance to showcase their rootsy '50s influences, as well as back some special guest performers, rockabilly's Sonny Burgess, bluesman Billy Boy Arnold, and doo wop groups The Calvanes and Medallions. It's a good show, and includes the band's "hits", "Marie Marie", "So Long Baby, Goodbye" and "Border Radio". There are interviews interspersed with the performance. I'd prefer to see the performance uninterrupted. The bonus features include the band performing several songs in the early '80s. An excellent package. Mel @ www.shoutfactory.com |
